Meet our new partner

Faithful is partnered with Verity Commercial Services using ‘Property for Good’

Faithful is excited to share news of our new partnership with Verity Commercial Services who are working with us to put hundreds of vacant commercial units across the UK to good use. Verity is a dynamic commercial property consultancy based in Manchester, offering a range of innovative solutions to help commercial landlords make significant savings while their properties remain empty.

Across the UK, empty commercial units have become all too familiar, exacerbated by the burgeoning trend of remote work, the demise of local shopping districts and the cost-of-living crisis which has hit small and large business entities alike.

Together, Verity and Faithful are revolutionising the commercial property sector through their unique approach to this problem. By working together, they blend the needs of landlords and faith communities creating mutual benefits for all. Verity works with landlords across England, Wales and Scotland with empty commercial office, retail and industrial units, looking for ways to reduce their ongoing property expenses. While Faithful networks with diverse faith communities to promote access to those spaces for prayer, worship and other faith-based activities.

Who are Verity?

Verity is committed to innovation and has pioneered a new way forward, one that not only alleviates financial strain for landlords but also fosters community enrichment.

They offer specialist services for commercial landlords, helping them to reduce vacancy costs with their unique and proven approach. Landlords can be proud of a service that not only helps them, but also helps local communities by putting properties to good use during its vacancy.

Community benefits

In addition to the cost savings for landlords, Verity’s partnership with Faithful, enables landlords to be part of their ‘Property for Good’ programme by opening vacant buildings for faith communities, injecting life back into sleepy town centres and, potentially boosting local economies with increased footfall.

Faithful believes in the positive societal impact of their partnership, which connects faith communities with local spaces in which to practise their religion and is open to individuals and groups throughout the UK. Spaces can currently be booked free of charge via the Faithful website and is open to people from any faith background.

The partnership is particularly meaningful for staff from Verity and Faithful who come from a variety of faith backgrounds including Jewish, Christian and Muslim who all successfully work together embodying the inter-faith ethos they promote.

Dionne Simpson of Faithful engages with faith communities across the UK promoting access to Faithful prayer spaces.

She said: “As an interfaith organisation, we are open to any faith, and I think that’s a really important factor. Of the six major religions in the UK, many need to pray at certain times of the day or several times a day, but not all workplaces provide a space for this to happen. Faithful is here to bridge that gap.

Many faith communities are not income-generating, so there is always a need to find accessible space. That’s one of the unique things about Faithful – it’s meeting the needs of many faith communities and individuals around the UK.”
